Clarins Paris White Plus HP Pearl to Cream Brightening Cleanser - Review, Swatch

Hi friends,

Summer brings so many hassles of keeping your skin cleansed and oil-free all the time. Do you agree? I definitely have to add a couple of things and steps in my routine to take care of my summer skin. I am usually very particular about my cleansers, more than anything else. This may be because of my oily-combination skin. I always aim to look for the cleansers that can take off all the dirt and oil from my face, while keeping the moisture intact. Usually getting an ideal cleanser of this type is sort of tricky, from what I've experienced so far. I got a deluxe sample of Clarins Paris White Plus HP Pearl to Cream Brightening Cleanser in March and have used it a couple of times so far. Let us check out more details below:

Clarins White Plus HP Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser is a creamy texture and a lightweight foam which perfectly cleanses the skin, tightens pores and brightens the complexion while respecting the hydrolipidic film. Skin is fresh, soft and comfortable.

Price for the quantity: Rs. 1,400 for 125ml

Ingredients:
  • Jua from Brazil: cleansing action, eliminates impurities while respecting the hydrolipidic film.
  • Alchemilla: brightening action.
  • Flavonoids from parsley: stimulate blood and lymphatic drainage, enhance complexion radiance.
  • Tannins from alchemilla: purify and tighten pores.

Skin Type: Normal, Dry, Combination, Oily

Texture: Cream

My experience with this cleanser:

The cleanser comes in a pearly white color with a creamy consistency. Just a small pea sized product is more than enough to create decent lather for the whole face. I like the fact that it creates a rich lather and gives a nice squeaky cleansed feeling to my skin on washing it off. One good thing that I've felt about this cleanser is that, unlike other cleansers that create rich lather, this cleanser doesn't dry out my skin much. I do apply a moisturizer after washing my face with this, but even if I get a bit delayed in doing so, there is no uncomfortable dry-stretchy feeling on my skin. I feel refreshed and cleansed and my skin feels soft too. So on that note check out some of the likes and dislikes that I've felt about it below:

Likes:

1) Comes with a nice creamy consistency that is easy to work with on the face.

2) A very small amount is apt enough to create decent lather to cleanse whole face.

3) It does cleanse my face thoroughly of all the oil and dirt, giving it a fresh glow, while softening my skin at the same time.

4) I didn't experience any drastic dryness after washing my face using this. Just a soft cleansed feeling, after which I anyway apply my moisturizer.

5) Didn’t give me any kind of breakouts or allergic reactions.

Dislikes:

1) It is slightly mild cleanser, hence doesn't remove makeup thoroughly. I still need my makeup remover to clear off all my makeup, before washing my face using this.

2) Availability is an issue, and seeing the trend these days about mostly expired foreign brand products getting sold on online websites, I'd suggest you better check it out at its counter only. You can always check the expiry date of your product by using the product's code at www.checkcosmetics.net

Overall:

I find it a decent cleanser. I can't comment anything about lightening or brightening as I didn't notice anything either except for nicely cleansed face, and frankly speaking I don't understand how can a cleanser lighten or brighten your skin. I usually rely on my skin creams for that. Also, since I don't have much visible pores, I didn't see much difference there either. It cleanses well, while nourishing my skin too. As a very small amount of this product can work well for whole face and neck, it'd definitely run for a long time. Overall, a good cleanser.

Rating: 3.75/5 (B)
