Getting back into blogging after barely posting for months isn't easy, at least I'm not finding it easy. I've got tons of posts ideas but the age old problem of not knowing how to start has definitely hit me hard, that was until I checked the date and saw the opportunity to spring back into things by doing a monthly favourites post. It just so happens that during August I have found some new favourites and also I've gone back to some old favourites so the timing is perfect, I'm really hoping that this time I can properly get back into the swing of things. I really have missed blogging.
The Urban Decay Naked2 Palette is part of what is now quite a wide range of the famous Naked Palettes, it's the only one I own and just from looking at photos I know I definitely own the one that suits me best. Throughout August there have been a few shades in particular that I've been using together to create the perfect neutral eyeshadow look for me. I've found that Bootycall, Chopper and Snakebite work nicely together to build up a simple yet defining look, as always as well the quality of these popular UD eyeshadows never fails to impress me. Even without a primer I find that they stay on for most of the day and their vibrancy hardly fades. If you haven't tried one of the Naked Palettes by now then you really need to treat yourself to one!
Another product that you would have seen pop up on my blog a lot is the Benefit POREfessional, it took me a while to finally try this blogger favourite but once I did I found out what the hype was all about. I stopped using it for a little while but over the past few weeks I've been using it like crazy as my skin hasn't been behaving at all. This creates the perfect base for foundation and concealer, I truly don't think I'll find a better primer any time soon. On the other hand I wanted to talk about a newer favourite, the Seventeen Stay Time Concealer, I featured it on here recently but I just had to talk about it again. I often wondered whether I would find a better concealer than the Collection Lasting Perfection but I think I might have just done that. The consistency of this Seventeen one is so much smoother and blendable, this is a much better colour match for me as well. If you're a bit bored with your current concealer then head over to take a look at what Seventeen have to offer, I'm a fan of several of the ones they have to offer.
Finally I've got one lip product favourite to share with you all, I reviewed the full range of the MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balms* a couple of months ago and since then one shade in particular has stood out to me, Cherry Bomb. Autumn is nearly here so I've been drifting towards darker shades a lot more but I still find it difficult to wear a really bold colour so these tinted lip balms are perfect for me. If you've read my review then you'll know that these are quite pigmented but still not to the level of a lipstick so they are fab for me whilst I'm finding my confidence.
What product did you enjoy using the most throughout August?
