Finally a moment in the day to write a much delayed post. This time last year I was writing a post a day. However did that happen? This year it has been all go, in a nice way of course, but full steam ahead. The curtain making certainly threw a spanner in the works. Thankfully now hanging at the windows although hems only tacked. They can stay that way until the new year as I’m sure they will drop and I’d only end up redoing the hem again. My excuse and I’m sticking to it. Wise words from Winwick Mum also reminded me that I probably had bitten off more than I could chew with my sock knitting. It’s been a slog , thankfully all finished and wrapped plus an extra pair for a friend that I hadn’t allowed for. Sadly I’m about four days behind on my advent squares . Once Christmas is over I will be able to enjoy them thoroughly .
This morning was the time to do all those jobs that had been swilling around my head waiting to be ticked off. Marzipanning the cake, wrapping final presents, making bedrooms ready for family tomorrow, mince pie creating……..and the list goes on. It was a good feeling to finally be on top of things. We even managed a quick walk. Rather grey today, fortunately the last few days have been glorious with Scandinavian blue skies and bitter cold ; my favourite. I grabbed a few sunsets as I went, plus some sparkly sea photos to gladden the heart.
I probably won’t make it back here before Christmas, so I will wish all my lovely blogging friends a very happy one and say that I’ll be back very soon. In the meanwhile I’ll leave you a selection of recent snaps. My newest tree decoration, walking photos and a picture of a grey wagtail sunning himself on the rocks. See you soon,
Barbara xxx
