"Lake Texoma - located 40 miles southeast of Ardmore, is the fourth-largest man-made body of water in the world. It covers 100,000 acres (156 square miles) at normal An average of 4,000,000 people a year visit this year-round tourist spot. There are thousands of boats and outboard motors available at a nominal rental fee. Excursion boats are available for sight-seeing and parties. Numerous lodges and camping areas abound along the lake's 1,200 miles of scenic shoreline and there is a landing strip for those who desire to fly in."
I have a trip planned to spend a few weeks on Lake Texhoma come October. The lake is full of Striped Bass and some monster Blue Catfish. It is the only lake I have ever fished that I could just catch fish until I got tired of fishing and it take a bunch for me to just get tired of fishing. And if you tire of Lake Texhoma there are a
lot more lakes in the area.
