Better Than Words: One Direction Concert

Hello Internet friends! Today's post is going to be me recapping one of the best nights of my entire life. After waiting years to see One Direction in concert I finally did, August 27th, 2014 at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. I went with my best friend and a life long friend. We drove to St. Louis to see them, since we didn't live too far away. I had never been to St. Louis before so this was my first time and I was super excited to be roadtripping with some really great people. We left in the morning and arrived in the afternoon.

Our playlist for the trip! :)
The arch!!
Our hotel was literally right across the street from the stadium. It was like a minute walk from the doors of our hotel to the doors of the stadium, super convenient considering all that has happened in the weeks prior. Since we had a few hours before the doors of the stadium opened up we just relaxed in our hotel room and started the getting ready process.
I decided to #typicalwhitegirl it out with my outfit because I mean it's me we're talking about here so why not. Haha! I decided to wear this black cropped tank from Forever21 that says 'In Music We Trust' and the back is completely lace so I wore a black bandeau underneath. I wore my high waisted ripped up shorts from American Eagle. A plaid flannel shirt from Forever21 and black motorcycle booties from Target. Not gonna lie I looked pretty badass.

Outfit game strong!
I did my makeup a little heavier than normal and did a natural smokey eye with lots of liner. I don't have a picture :(

The stadium opened up at 5:30 and we all got done before then so we went down to the dining hall and chilled there before we had to leave. There was a mirror there so obvi we had to take a mirror pic.

Basic betches.
Once it was closer to 5:30 we decided to head on over to the stadium. We waited in line and once we were in the stadium at our seats it was closet to 6. While we waited we had to take some photos, duh.

Me and Charity!
Me and Madison!

We so cute!
Signs some girls made for the show that we hold up during Little Things! They made tons of these so props to them!
Panorama of the stadium. This is only one side... It was massive!
So many girls! Ahhh!
7:30 hit and it was time for their opening act to perform. It was suppose to be 5 Seconds of Summer but they had to cancel the St. Louis and Dallas show. I nearly cried when I found out. So instead one of their songwriter/friends Jamie Scott opened for them. While I was upset about 5SOS not performing Jamie did not disappoint. He is so talented! And he had the most beautiful blue eyes ever! Click here to listen to his music on Spotify! His music style is very Ed Sheeran-esque. I really dig it and would definitely go see him if he ever toured!

We then had about an hour or so break and we just chilled in our seats, our floor seats. Ha! Fairly certain we were some of the few "older" Directioners there and had chronic bitch face as we were sitting because girls would scream obnoxiously for no reason. We all said we're getting too old to be doing this. Lol! Then the lights dimmed...... The screaming began..... and then BAM!

The boys appeared on the screens in a little welcome/intro video, which you can watch in HD here! I giggled and smiled as I watched the five goofball I'd been supporting be themselves on the screen. Then it was time..... Oh my god I had never heard such screams before in my life! 50,000+ girls all screaming at the top of their lungs at once... I will never forget the sound. The lights dimmed... then BAM! They came up on stage with lights and fireworks and familiar 1, 2, 3, 4 began. Everything from there was a whirlwind. They opened with Midnight Memories and closed with Best Song Ever. If you wanna check out the set list, click here!

It all happened so fast, like a dream almost. It was insane and amazing and I loved every second of it. Thankfully I was allowed to bring my long telephoto lens which got me some amazing photos of the boys. I'm a Niall girl and my best friend is a Harry girl so that's who I focused on but I do have a few shots of the others. I also got some video clips too. Overall it was one of the best nights of my life. The whole experience was just something else. The atmosphere was like nothing I had ever experienced before. It was the coolest thing ever. It was better than I imagined, it was Better Than Words. I'm still not over it and don't think I ever will be.

If you wanna watch videos of the concert just Youtube search 'One Direction Where We Are tour' and a million results will pop up! Also, please don't steal these photos. I'm too lazy to watermark them so don't be a betch. :)

Panorama of the stadium during Little Things. One of the best experiences I've ever experienced.

And in a blink of an eye it was over. I had finally seen the five idiots I had been loving for years. I was in the same room as Niall, Louis, Liam, Harry and Zayn. We were breathing the same air! It was like nothing I had ever experienced. I am gonna be 100% honest I cried. I cried hysterically. I shook, screamed, cried, jumped, danced and just had fun. And that's what it's about.  It was a night I will never forget! So thank you boys :)

Lemme know what your insane concert experience was in the comments or by tweeting me! This is definitely mine for sure!

Till next time!

"and we danced all night to the best song ever, we knew every line and i can't remember, how it goes but i know that i won't forget her cause we danced all night to the best song ever"
