Friendly APPS to help us get GOING. Eat Well. Nutribug*-*

With an increase in use of smart phones and technology, applications, easily affordable,  can be an accessible tool that you can use to reach your healthy goals. For example, I personally use more than one for different purposes. These are a few that I have tried and have found helpful.

While there many more to use that can track daily intake and ect. these are the one that I use for physical activity. My favorite nutrition intake log is MyFitness Pal which is highly recommended by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist like myself. This blog however focuses on physical activity logging and exercise motivation tools.

Take a look at APPS such as:

1) Running Log (to track runs). This is helpful if you are like me and can forget how long you did your last run. You can even add notes (ie. it was raining and I ran with my friend)

2) Endomondo (tracking distance and daily challenges). This is neat because tracks the amount of time and distance. You can even update friends and family on your progress.

3) Argus (to track amount of steps, water, and calories in a day). This app not only tracks daily steps but also calories and water drank in a day. You can also put in weight and water intake goals.

4) GymPack (earning cash for exercising). I found out about this app through a guest of mine. I think this is motivating and helps create an online support system.

REMEMBER that ultimately try the best OPTION for you!! There are a number of applications that are FREE, easy to use and can even be a little pricey. So do a little research an check them out.  The road to healthy well being is not easy, lets do this together.
